Ingredients
-
½ cup fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
-
¼ cup orange juice (fresh or bottled)
-
2 tablespoons simple syrup or agave nectar (to taste)
-
½ cup sparkling water or club soda
-
1–2 cups ice cubes
-
Optional: Salt or sugar for rimming the glass
-
Garnish: Lime wheel, orange slice, or fresh mint sprig
Instructions
-
Rim your glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip into salt or sugar.
-
Mix the base: In a shaker, combine lime juice, orange juice, and sweetener. Add ice and shake until chilled.
-
Strain & pour: Strain the mix into a prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
-
Add the fizz: Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
-
Garnish & serve: Garnish with a lime wheel, orange slice, or mint. Serve immediately.
For a frozen version: Blend all ingredients with extra ice until slushy.
Notes
-
Always use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
-
Adjust sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup.
-
To prep ahead, mix everything except soda and ice; add those just before serving.
-
Leftover mix makes great popsicles or ice cubes for future mocktails.
