Ingredients

  • 2 inches of fresh ginger (or 1 tsp ginger powder)
  • 2 inches of fresh turmeric (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ¼ cup water or coconut water

Instructions

  1. Peel the ginger and turmeric, then cut them into small pieces.
  2. Juice them together, adding lemon juice and black pepper. Stir well and enjoy immediately or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Notes

For extra flavor, add cayenne pepper or mix with orange juice for a sweeter shot. Store in an airtight glass bottle in the fridge for up to a week.
