2–3 fresh thyme sprigs or 1 Tbsp dried thyme leaves

1–2 tsp honey, agave, or sugar (optional)

2 lemon wheels or a squeeze of fresh lemon (optional)

Instructions

Boil water – Bring the water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan or kettle.

Steep thyme – Remove from heat, add thyme, cover, and let steep 5 minutes for mild flavor or up to 10 minutes for a stronger brew.

Strain – Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into mugs to remove the leaves.

Sweeten & brighten – Stir in honey or your preferred sweetener and a squeeze of lemon if desired. Serve immediately.
Iced version: Cool to room temperature, refrigerate 1 hour, then serve over ice with lemon slices.
