Description
This Honey Mocktail is a naturally sweet, alcohol-free drink perfect for brunches, baby showers, or any time you crave a fizzy refreshment without the buzz. With raw honey, fresh citrus, and cooling herbs, it’s a light and uplifting beverage that tastes just as fancy as a cocktail—minus the alcohol!
Ingredients
-
1 tbsp raw honey
-
1 tbsp warm water (to thin the honey)
-
Juice of 1 lemon or lime
-
½ cup sparkling water
-
A few fresh mint leaves
-
Crushed ice
-
Optional: Ginger slices, cucumber, or berries for flavor variations
Instructions
-
In a small bowl or cup, mix honey with warm water to create a simple honey syrup.
-
Juice your lemon or lime and set aside.
-
If using additional flavorings like berries, cucumber, or ginger, gently muddle them with the mint leaves in a shaker or mason jar.
-
Add the honey syrup, citrus juice, and a handful of ice to the shaker or jar. Shake or stir well.
-
Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with crushed ice.
-
Top with sparkling water and stir gently.
-
Garnish with a mint sprig, citrus slice, or edible flower. Serve immediately.
Notes
-
For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
-
For parties, prepare a large batch of the mocktail base (minus sparkling water) and chill in the fridge. Add fizz when serving.
-
Try infused honey (like lavender or chili) for an elevated twist.
-
Freeze leftovers in ice cube trays to flavor tea or soda later.
