Grey Lady Tea

A bright and fragrant twist on classic Earl Grey, Grey Lady Tea blends citrusy bergamot, lemon & orange peels, and delicate floral notes—like lavender or rose petals—for a refreshingly aromatic cup.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp loose‑leaf Grey Lady Tea (or 1 tea bag)

  • 8 oz (240 ml) water at ~200 °F (93 °C)

  • Optional add‑ins: honey, milk, ice

Instructions

  1. Heat fresh water to about 200 °F (93 °C).

  2. Place tea leaves or bag in your cup or infuser.

  3. Pour in water and steep for 3–5 minutes.

  4. Remove the leaves or bag.

  5. (Optional) Stir in honey or add a splash of milk.

  6. For iced tea: brew double‑strength, cool, and pour over ice.

Notes

  • Grey Lady Tea is lighter than traditional Earl Grey, thanks to citrus and floral additions.

  • It pairs wonderfully with lemon cake, shortbread, or dark chocolate.

  • For best flavor, use loose-leaf tea and filtered water.

  • To make a tea latte, steep tea strong and top with steamed milk.
