- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger (peeled and chopped)
- 1-inch piece of fresh turmeric (or ½ teaspoon turmeric powder)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- A pinch of black pepper
- ¼ cup of water (adjust based on consistency preference)
- ½ teaspoon of coconut oil or olive oil (optional)
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Using a Juicer: Wash and peel the ginger and turmeric, cut them into small pieces and add them to a juicer along with the lemon juice. Pour the extracted juice into a small glass, stir in black pepper and oil (if using), and drink immediately.
- Using a Blender: Add ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, and water to a blender. Blend until smooth, strain using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove pulp, then pour into a glass, add black pepper and oil, and mix well. Enjoy immediately or store for up to 24 hours in the fridge.
