Ingredients

- 1 cup dried elderberries (or 2 cups fresh elderberries)
- 4 cups water
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- Juice of ½ lemon
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients – Add elderberries, water, cinnamon, and ginger to a saucepan.
- Simmer Gently – Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Strain the Tea – Use a fine mesh strainer to remove solids, pressing to extract every drop.
- Sweeten & Serve – Stir in honey and lemon juice while the tea is still warm.
- Enjoy Hot or Iced! – Drink immediately or store in the fridge for a refreshing iced version.
Notes
For a stronger brew, use a French press instead of a strainer.
