Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried elderberries (or 2 cups fresh elderberries)
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients – Add elderberries, water, cinnamon, and ginger to a saucepan.
  2. Simmer Gently – Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the Tea – Use a fine mesh strainer to remove solids, pressing to extract every drop.
  4. Sweeten & Serve – Stir in honey and lemon juice while the tea is still warm.
  5. Enjoy Hot or Iced! – Drink immediately or store in the fridge for a refreshing iced version.

Notes

For a stronger brew, use a French press instead of a strainer.
